we have one precious jewel. Also watched due to our local site's recommendation (serijala) as one of this year's best new shows.

After many years, Gillian Anderson is back (as far as I know), and she is really good. Btw, those 20 years since X-files are not showing on her.
The show got me pinned to my screen from the first episode. Fantastic setting, atmosphere, actors, script, everything. Story itself may not be anything new - serial killer, tralala, but the way in which he is portrayed is fantastic. We know the identity of a killer from start. We are following his life, his thoughts, his relations with family and with clients at work. This is just what makes this show unique. Very painful and dark, even disturbing, but also very infatuating. Main protagonist Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan) is very good in portraying highly intelligent and emphatic bad guy who knows exactly what to say, what to do and when to do it, and is also very likely to gather smiles from female crowd due to his looks.

Besides Scully and sheriff from Once Upon a Time, the rest of the crew is interesting. We have two actors from Game of Thrones (Michael McElhatton - Roose Bolton i Ian McElhinney - Barristan Selmy), and police boss is also somewhat familiar, but I can't remember where from. Funny thing is also bad guy's wife resemblance to Adele. To me at least, my GF just smiled at the notion :)
Only downside is that like similar UK shows it has very few episodes. But hey, Sherlock has 3, Luther 4 and this baby 5! We can't hardly wait for new season to come out!
